Last Friday, Dec. 2nd saw the draw for Euro2012 and Holland has been assigned to the Group of Death (Germany, Portugal & Denmark) and will play its first three matches in the beautiful city of Kharkov/Kharkiv (ov ending is Russian name, iv ending = Ukrainian).
Never having been to the Ukraine and never heard of the city of Kharkiv (Kharkov), here are some useful links:

As far as I can tell only Austrian Airlines flies to Kharkov, so your best bet is prolly to book a flight to Kiev and take a train to Kharkov from there (something like 4 hours I think).
As for hotel accomodation, pretty much everything seems to have been snapped up already, but the AirBnB site is still offering cheap accomodation (mostly private appartments).
Things to do and see: not a whole lot apparently. So far I've penciled in Chernobyl (one hour north of Kiev) and Volgograd in Rusland. Volgograd used to be called Stalingrad and that of course was the site of a massive battle between Germany and the USSR in WWII. Getting there will take at least a day though and you will need a pre-arranged visa etc.
Not sure if I'm going yet, but it could be a very interesting trip! Djoser has an interesting trip (in Dutch), but the timing is less than perfect (26/5 - 9/6). For now I'm putting my money on Blini Reizen who seem to be more flexible in their approach (again in Dutch).
Will keep you posted!
